About

dindi
After years of collecting, hoarding, accumulating broken chains and bracelets, little charms, beads and other knick-knacks, now that I have breathed new life into them, it is time to let them go. I also make jewellery using sterling silver, gemstones and other beads, inspired by the concept of wabi-sabi. The aesthetic is sometimes described as one of beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete". Wabi-sabi is to see beauty in things, which are simple, imperfect, modest, old and weathered. To celebrate cracks and crevices and all the other marks that time, weather, and loving use leave behind. So, if you´re looking for perfection, you won´t find it here. My work may show marks, scratches, blemishes and bruises. But they all have love-bites.

Secret Easter Bunny

The European Street Team (which I am a member of) on Etsy decided it would be fun to have a 'Secret Easter Bunny' swap. ArtMind coordinated everything, sent out questionnaires and paired us with a secret partner.

My easter bunny was Staroftheeast. Yeah! I always wanted one of their beautiful sea urchin pieces and now I’m the proud owner of this beauty:

Thank you so much Mitsy and Estella!

Time in a bottle

Inspired by "Time in a bottle" by Jim Croce.

If I could save time in a bottle
The first thing that I'd like to do
Is to save every day
Till eternity passes away
Just to spend them with you

New line of jewelry

Thought I’d share some photos from the new jewelry designs I’m working on, which I'll be posting in my shop soon. In these designs I incorporate found objects, ribbon and lace and leather, freshwater pearls and vintage ephemera.

I'm having a blast.
